The One Armed Man
I’m quite disappointed in myself for not being able to have the discipline to log my dreams lately, but I guess when it comes down to it getting a good nights sleep is far more important. I can remember some of the details from the last dream I remember having so I guess I’ll just post them for now.
----------------------------------
The last dream I can recall revolved around my friend Bert. Recently he has joined our band as the bass player and all is going well. In my dream however Bert is still in the band but only has one arm.
Although he’s missing an entire arm he still manages to play his bass guitar without any hassles. He would just slap away in his one armed glory at the strings somehow managing to play every note perfectly. He seems perfectly happy and content with his situation.
The strange thing in this dream wasn’t the fact he was able to play so well with one arm, it was more my feelings about it. Personally I was mortified, I was shocked that nobody else noticed or even cared about the fact he had one arm (in real life I know I’d feel the complete opposite to this, it would be amazing if someone could play that well). Everyone else who saw him play didn’t even notice he had no arm, it was never mentioned. I think the fact that it was simply ignored is what annoyed me the most.
